We try: The Bosch dryer:

Energy efficient, large capacity & worth the investment

A clothes dryer is an essential item in house with four children – it’s constantly on in the winter months with school uniforms, sports clothes and endless other family items.

We purchased the Bosch just over a year ago have been impressed with its ActiveAir technology and large capacity. A big investment for our family at $2899, we didn’t make the purchase lightly.

The Bosch ActiveAir Technology – an advance on heat pump technology – operates without a conventional heater. So basically, drying air is heated up at low cost with the help of the heat pump, while existing heat is re-used efficiently.

We do around 10 loads a week and it costs around 30 cents per load to run. There are many benefits including 15 Clothes Care programs, but I love the fact that he house doesn’t resemble a sauna when a cycle is going through and its automatic self-cleaning system is lint-free.

You do need to manually empty the It’s also safe with a programe and children safety lock, and is quiet when you inevitably have to a load overnight to be ready for the next morning routine.

The Bosch dryer has a 6.5kg capacity and a 6 star energy rating.  I give it 4 stars and would recommend it to other mums looking for a sturdy and reliable dryer that gets the job done. The initial investment does pay off in the long run.
