Candice Alley is a busy mother of twins, juggling the everyday stresses of a career, caring for her children and supporting her loving husband.

The Melbourne based singer/songwriter and wife of swimming legend, Grant Hackett, believes finding time for yourself, a healthy diet, being organised and taking natural health supplements are the key ingredients to successfully juggling the stresses of everyday life.

“Life can be overwhelming at times and pushing to be the best in everything you do, at work and at home, can create anxiety - especially if you’re giving 100% to each area and sometimes wondering if you’re making headway,” Alley said.

“I found myself getting wound up over the big picture while sweating over the smallest of things and took it upon myself to create a more stress-free environment and become calmer.”

“Mixing exercise, such as pilates and park runarounds with her toddler twins, with the serenity she finds in song-writing and music, and a daily dose of Nutra-Life Organic Magnesium, a natural supplement have helped alleviate stress and worry.

“One of the hardest things I have found is finding time for me. I get up around 5.30am every morning to get organised and to do my exercise before the children wake up. I find it is really important to have my time before their day starts.”

“Motherhood has made me be 10 times more organised and also realise just how important it is to have your friends and family around you.”

Candice says she feels so lucky to have her beautiful twins.

“They’re just so special.  Seeing them interact and their personalities come alive is quite amazing.”

Candice shares her top tips to cope with stress:

  1. Go to bed as early as you can … you'll wake up feeling even better.
  2. Cut out alcohol and caffeine.
  3. Try yoga or pilates to relax while you exercise.
  4. We're all deficient in something so be aware to keep up your vitamin intake. Nutra-Life Organic Magnesium is a top priority for me given the energy and anxiety it curbs on a daily basis.
  5. Meditation. Even done sporadically it's a great tool to have through life.
  6. Eat as naturally as possible. Nuts and seeds provide sustained energy and are easy to pack when you're on the run.
  7. Drink loads of water.
  8. If you can, eat just one egg a day – it’s super rich in nutrients.
  9. Go for a walk in the sun with your babies in the pram…an instant boost!
  10. Drink green tea, it's a great antioxidant.

What a woman!  I felt tired just reading this.  Still, living with a champion athlete would have instilled a sense of discipline.  A gold medal for super Candice!
