Quarantine and a new normal in terms of society has really had a profound impact on our way of life, and we have had to certainly adapt to being at home for longer, and many more key changes. If you are a creative type then you may very well see this as an opportunity to try out something new in order to keep those creative juices pumping. If then, you are looking to try something different during this lockdown, here are some creative ideas as to what you can be doing.

Something Natural

There are so many courses which you can take online and one which may peak your interest is a horticultural course that teaches you about mushroom cultivation. The world of mushrooms is fascinating and the potential which they have in terms of improving our way of life is something that we should all be excited about in terms of helping the environment. Mushroom cultivation courses could certainly be a really cool and creative way of passing your time during lockdown.

Something For The Big Kids

If you thought that coloring in was just something for kids then you may be surprised to learn that adult coloring in books exist, and they are a wonderful way to help you pass the time with a creative endeavor. Naturally these books are far more intricate and difficult than a child’s version and it can provide you with a wonderful escape as you lay all your focus on creating something beautiful, and staying within the lines of course! Adult coloring books feature complex patterns, shapes and designs which you can get your teeth into, so line up those colored pencils and let your imagination run wild.

Something For The Rhythmic

If you have had ideas in the past about learning to play an instrument then there really has not been a better time to get started than right now. Not only do you have the time on your hands to do so, but the need for music and for something to occupy the mind is likely to be at an all-time high. Once you get the instrument of your choice you will have a huge range of options before you in terms of how you learn. There are free videos and guides online which can help you, as well as courses which you can sign up to. If you feel that you need some one on one help then you could also hire a tutor to help you through a service such as Skype.

Something For The Handy

An up-cycling project may be just what the doctor ordered for those of you who like to get busy with your hands. Up-cycling is the practice of taking something which is looking somewhat shabby, a chair, a table, a lamp or another piece of furniture for example, and restoring it to its former glory. You could spruce it up to make it look as it once did, or give it a complete makeover and turn it into something entirely different for its second life. This will certainly keep you busy and pose a challenge to your creativity.

These are just four of many projects which you can take on during lockdown which will keep you busy and let those creative juices flow.
