If you are thinking about going back to school and getting a degree or enrolling in a course, you should be very proud of yourself. It is a bold move that requires a lot of your time, dedication and effort. However, if you put your mind to it, there is nothing you can’t achieve. Whatever your goal is when it comes to education, it deserves praise and support from your family. While you try to figure out which career suits your needs the best, check out our list below to get some ideas.

Teacher

If you love being surrounded by children, and are great at explaining things in an understandable way, a career in teaching is awaiting. Your job isn’t only to be their teacher, but also a listener and a problem-solver. If you think it’s hard to impress the children, wait until you meet the parents. Great communication skills are a necessity to be successful at teaching. If you see yourself being a true role model for the children, you might want to explore this career further.

Personal Trainer

A mum who visits the gym regularly and is accustomed to the tense workout, different workout techniques and knows a lot about the health benefits of exercise can excel in being a personal trainer. You would also have to market yourself and promote your services on social media to attract more potential clients. However, don’t neglect the importance of word-of-mouth marketing, which can be very effective if it reaches the right person.

Counselor

Sometimes, people only need a push in the right direction. For instance, when you’re in secondary school, secondary school work experience can help you decide which career path to follow. It is especially helpful for children who are on the fence and can’t seem to fully grasp the importance of choosing the right career. Children are not only confused, but also overwhelmed. It isn’t easy to choose the right career, especially since technology is advancing and everything is becoming digitalised. Therefore, counselors use their negotiation skills to ensure the best outcome and future job satisfaction.

Kindergarten Teacher

This is also a career in teaching, but for mums who are great with little children and know how to keep them entertained at all times. In the previously mentioned teaching career, you have to be a great talker, whereas here, you have to be more of an entertainer. This is a period in their lives where children get excited about pretty much everything, so if your personality is as bubbly and animated as theirs, you will get along just fine.

Nurse

Is there a better way to give back to society than to become a registered nurse? If you opt for this career, nothing can replace the rewarding feeling and the sense of gratitude it gives you on a daily basis. It also requires mental strength, because the everyday situations you get into and the scenes you witness can be unpleasant. If you can muster the strength to go to a nursing school, it can change your outlook on life and broaden your horizons.

Graphic Designer

All the mums who are gravitating towards creative jobs can rest assured that this career will fulfill all their requirements. You get to spend time with creative people, soak up positive, creative energy and come home with a smile. Recharging your batteries is basically a part of your job, which makes it even more enjoyable. Embrace your love for fonts, keen eye for detail and your marketing knowledge and dive into this career.

Whatever career you like from the list above, persistence is what will get you to the finish line. What career would you choose if you could start over? Did you make a mistake or are you satisfied with your job? Tell us all about your experience in the comment section below.
