It is better to learn mathematics from an early age when the child is actively exploring the world around him. Every detail arouses his interest and this is the perfect time to show the math with simple examples. Parents should be very attentive to the child in order to introduce learning into his daily routine. This applies not only to the math program for preschoolers; it can also be attributed to other age categories. It is quite difficult to force ourselves to study something especially when we are distracted by other things every day. But there are simple methods that should be introduced into your life to make the lessons enjoyable and productive.

How to prepare for your own math learning?

Before starting a course of study, you need to choose the right program. You can find many options online or in the library, but there is a unique method that is great for kids and adults alike - the Singapore Math Method. This is a unique way which is based on the understanding of mathematics and the visualization of any task. But no matter what method you choose, there are simple rules that will help you with the beginning of the exercise. This is primarily a discipline, you must tune in to the fact that the lessons are needed. It is best to create a schedule and a detailed program that you can implement into your daily routine. This is very useful for preschoolers who perceive the world in a playful way.

  • The most important element is planning. Every day you know what you will be doing, implement math examples into simple actions. You dress the child, ask him to count the buttons on his jacket. You are going to have breakfast, ask the child to put 3 deep and 2 flat plates. Include your child in making plans for the day, develop his logical thinking. This will help you better understand mathematical concepts such as numbers, spatial relationships, and the concept of measurement.
  • Define "working" hours. This is a period that is devoted only to learning, of course, in a playful way. With cubes, sticks, balls, educational toys, etc. the child should not have thoughts that studying is boring and bad. This is a game but aimed at learning and development. Build a tower of cubes, measure its height. Look whose tower is higher, find the difference in outgrowth. It can be any games at home or in the yard. A great idea is to play in the playground because the children can play in a group. They see the world differently and also learn from each other.
  • Singapore Math offers unique ways for kids and adults to visualize math problems. Study the information and methodology in detail to show this to your child. This is quite simple and understandable, no matter the level of training and knowledge. The problem where Peter has 7 apples and Kate has 3 pears is solved as a drawing. You can take real fruits and show the difference. Which number is greater, how much more fruit Peter has.
  • Math for adults can also be practiced every day, in daily activities. Some architects study the corners of houses, look at the diameter of the dome, observe the slope of bridges, and so on. You can download a video lesson or audio materials to study it on the subway or bus.

Conclusion

Mathematics is a unique science that can be very interesting for many children and adults. Even if you don't plan to learn it professionally, you should have the basic knowledge to be able to count, multiply, divide, and so on. Children should understand math as interesting information that will help to make their schooling easier. Help them with this by using a daily routine.
