This is an amazing event packed with all kinds of activities, workshops and performances. Its rich program includes plays, theatre performances, the International Film Festival for Kids, a circus safari called the Carnival of the Animals, as well as boat rides along the River Torrens in a historic Popeye cruiser.
The highlight of the festival's program for families is the Big Family Weekend on 23-24 May, which will feature lots of performances, free activities and workshops for children – also, an attempt at the world record for the largest number of people contributing to one painting! That's something your children will remember for a very long time.

Fun4Kids Festival is a massive festival that features a number of incredible fun zones full of kids’ entertainment and activities. Every family can choose their own adventure and enjoy the Festival at their own pace. The festival lasts seven days and the ticket range offers maximum flexibility.
Children can enjoy interactive workshops, games and activities organised in each themed zone, as well as a selection of the best children’s performances from Australia and around the world. Perfect for children aged 2-12, the festival is a great summer option for every family in search of an adventure.

Where: Paul Keating Park, Bankstown
This is a Bankstown edition of Sydney's famous Children Festival, which aims to celebrate the multiculturalism for children and families in Australia. Children can share, learn and explore the culturally diverse character of modern cities that we all live in and share with one another, preparing them to live harmoniously in a mixed community.
The festival features various cultural traditions, costumes, dances, performances, songs, lion dancing, drumming workshops and share traditional and delicious foods with one another. Activities for children include scout adventures, lantern making, costume parades, arts and craft, rides, animal petting zoo and more.
When: late September/early October (usually through school holidays)
Where: venues in Sydney and greater Sydney (last year's Festival was held at the Seymour Centre)
This festival celebrates the excellence and innovation among children aged from 5 to 12. Its attractions include dance, theatre, circus performances, visual arts, as well as a wide range of workshops exploring activities like storytelling, dance, sculpture, mural-making and others.
Children will also get a chance to admire several performances – last year's edition featured a musical adapting songs from I'm Still Awake, Still! or a magical show called Twinkle. If your children are a creative lot, this is the place to be!

Organised by Awesome Arts, 2015 Awesome International Festival for Bright Young Things will be all about exciting arts – from theatre, dance, early childhood activities to music, film and hands-on activities. The past editions included shows and exhibitions from all over the world, featuring cutting-edge animation films and artistic spaces made of objects that could be touched and explored by the young ones.
