Chanel, lace and colour!:

The hot tip for fashion this Spring is ‘Chanel style’ with anything, according to one of Australia’s longest-standing importers and retailer of haute couture fabrics from Europe’s best textile houses, Liz Roadley of Stitches to Style in Melbourne’s Armadale.

Having recently returned from a biannual trip to visit textile houses in Italy, Switzerland and France, Liz says that Chanel style jackets are being combined with anything.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s corporate wear, evening wear or jeans, a Chanel style jacket made from boucle is the ‘must have’ in Europe. They look great whatever you team them with.”

She also says the colours are fantastic.

“They are brilliant. Golden yellow, emerald green, pinks and oranges as well as mint green, ice cool pastels, tangerine and the perennial classic - navy.”

Also popular in Europe are feminine florals, bold prints and delicate lace used in a variety of outfits.
