St kilda fest
There’s good ol’ fashioned family fun a plenty at Australia’s largest free music festival, St Kilda Festival. This February, St Kilda Festival will become a hive of activity for both the young and the young at heart, cementing the iconic Melbourne event as much more than your typical music festival.

Bursting with free entertainment and a vibrant activity hub, the City of Port Phillip will present St Kilda Festival’s very own Kidzone, a tailor-made festival experience just for the kids on Sunday 14 February 2016.

Explore Catani Gardens, be entertained by Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, learn about life with Sarah and Pevan and their cuddly Tiger Buddy, sing-a-long to Little Feet Music, dance with Fun With Franky, experiment with magic with Dazzling Dan the Magic Man and marvel at Tall Poppies Theatre Stilt Dancers as they tower above.

A proven crowd favourite is The Chipolatas, a unique performance combining circus artistry – acrobats, jugglers and clowns to the sounds of dynamic, bold roots music.

Housed in the picturesque Catani Gardens along the St Kilda foreshore, children of all ages will be transported to another world designed especially for them, all in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.

Mayor Bernadene Voss looks forward to seeing many local families participating in the iconic Melbourne festival.

“The City of Port Phillip has such a diverse culture and families play such an integral part in our local community. We’re thrilled to once again be offering our vibrant Kidzone as part of the festival program.”

“We’re excited by the high calibre of children’s performers that combine education with fun, games and lots of interaction. We’re expecting a big turn out with lots of children and parents getting involved.”
