Guiding children to make the most of their career opportunities presenting them when studying and graduating can be a tricky process.

However, it’s been made easier for them to make informed decisions with the launch of the 2013 CareerOne Virtual Fair – a free event on 24 hours a day that connects them with the country’s leading organisations and educational institutions from the comfort of their home.

In just two days of opening its doors, more than 30,000 students and graduates have flocked to the event where they have been able to see organisations’ credentials via video, take compatibility tests, conduct live chats and explore their options via a series of integrated tools.

Drawn to the fun, easy-to-use and informative platform, the success of the 2013 CareerOne Virtual Fair highlights the popularity of CareerOne’s innovative digital solutions with young Australians.

“I found the fair really easy to log-in and use and the stands looked great”, says 15-year-old Courtney currently in year 10. “I liked that there were so many Unis and TAFEs in the fair and other types of stands too.”

While Anne, says she found it much easier than going to an actual fair, “It was so cool. I could just go online at home when I am not too busy. I really liked all the stuff you could do at the fair, chat, video, advice, downloads and webinars. Also, it’s on 24/7 so I could go and come back anytime I want.”

University students, like 21-year-old Ben studying at Sydney Uni, have also been impressed with how fun and informative the fair is.

“It’s so interactive. I really enjoyed reading all the download info, watching the videos and checking out all the tips and testimonials. I will definitely tell my friends to check out the fair and will be going back later this week.”

Product and Marketing Director for CareerOne, Ben Foote, said he was thrilled with the show’s success to date and that it provided a safe and valuable opportunity for young people to engage leading organisations and educational institutions.

“Attendees can get access via their computer, tablet or smart phone. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with organisations known for being the nation’s best employers and I encourage young people to make the most of I before it concludes this evening”
