Hello. I agree that it is pretty common. Just we don’t see it because people usually avoid talking about their problems. I, myself am incontinent - urinary incontinent only and before I became incontinent I have never even heard about it, everything changed once I started wearing diapers basically 24/7 everyday. I was very depressed and didn’t know what to do with my life, never felt worse to be honest in my entire life - learning about it and being forced to wear diapers all the time was truly a devastating blow for me.
Especially as it has happened all in my early twenties when I have just started attending college - I never told anyone about my issues, I was too afraid of rejection and other things. I didn’t know what to do with my life. To be honest, I never felt scared more than I did back then. I managed to sort my life out though by visiting therapist 3x/week for 3 years and realizing that there is much more to life than worrying about people finding out that you were diapers. I started working out, I have changed my diet - I became fit and active person - it has really helped me with my incontinence. On top of that I started doing kegels and this change of scenery was a game changer for me. I find myself a wife and just never felt happier with my life - even before I developed incontinence. So I can agree that it really is a big problem for everyday life, but it’s not so big to stay depressed and socially isolated for the rest of our lives. Important thing, which matters is that we can live with incontinence and we can enjoy life like other people, but we just have to pay slightly bigger attention to detail.
For any beginners that are reading this post now and are as lost with incontinence as I am, I would recommend to find a goal in life and pursue it - it’s very important step. Also getting a good set of diapers that are comfortable and fit you completely is extremely important as well. For over a year I’m using only products from hexanow.com and gotta say that they are pretty good and on top of that - which was most important factor for me is that they are cheap, very cheap. So if anyone wondering how to start, they may be a good solution for your problems!
