Get ready for TOY MANIA! The return of the nation’s favourite toy sale at BIG W is revealed:

Australia, 1 June – Aussie families can officially start preparing to get their hands on the nation’s hottest toys as Australia’s favourite family store, BIG W, has announced the official start date for its popular annual toy sale. TOY MANIA will kick off early online from Tuesday 16 June (then in store from Thursday 18 June) running through to 15 July. 

Aussies can expect to see a whole host of brand new toys as offers on over 700 new and old favourites including Barbie, Nerf, Hot Wheels, LEGO, and Fisher Price. There will also be a number of hot deals available on outdoor toys. 

This year, BIG W is introducing new ways to shop the sale, to make it easier and safer for customers, including the national sale being available online from 12.01am on Tuesday 16 June in lieu of the retailer’s famed midnight openings, the return of online lay- by and Contactless Pick up and home delivery. 

Christine Faulkner, BIG W’s Chief Toy Buyer, said: “We’ve been working hard over the past year to get ready for TOY MANIA 2020 and this is certainly going to be a sale like no other. We have everything families will love all under one roof and at all the lowest prices and this year we’re making shopping easier and safer for customers to shop”. 

BIG W has also partnered with Dr Justin Coulson as the dedicated play expert for the TOY MANIA 2020 event. He advocates for the importance of toys and how they can be incorporated into play time to both entertain and assist in children’s development. 

BIG W’s Play Expert, Dr Justin Coulson, said: “Play is the lens through which children experience their world, and the world of others. With supportive parents, an adequate play space and an assortment of toys, children can really maximise playtime for them to thrive.”
