Achtung! The German edition of Vogue magazine was so entranced with their photographs of Australian actress, Nicole Kidman, that they decided to feature two of them on their August cover.
The cover is as much a study of the two photographers’ styles as Nicole. Although each fashion photographer focused on Kidman's face, each took a different approach to executing close-ups of the star.
Nicole gives off an ethereal quality in Camilla Akrans’ cover. Her loose, face-framing red-blonde curls, blue eyes and the miniature Swarovski swan she holds up to her lips lend a soft, dreamy feeling to pretty picture.
Meanwhile, Patrick Demarchelier opted for a sleeker look, choosing to run with a classic black-and-white shot that hides Kidman’s hair under an elegant, broad-brimmed hat.
The German Vogue together with a recent campaign for Jimmy Choo belies Nicole’s 46 years. In the Jimmy Choo campaign (see below), she vamped it up in sexy stilettos and over-the-knee boots for the luxury shoe line’s autumn/winter 2013 campaign.
"I really enjoyed being able to play a role that was strong, sexy and in control," Nicole said about her Jimmy Choo ads.
Nicole also recently received a humanitarian award for her role as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador from the Cinema for Peace foundation for her work promoting women's rights.
She has previously appeared on the cover of seven editions of American Vogue.
