There are also a few tips for mums as to what you might also be experiencing during the tenth month of the year:

Aries(20/3 – 20/4)

Best friends and other close relationships will be the focus for your little Aries, for most of the month of October. Although Aries is a sign that is usually happy spending time alone, this month may find your Aries child seeking out company more often than usual. The New Moon on the 5th October is a great time for your little Aries to seek out close friends. The Full Moon on 19h puts your little Aries in the spotlight, right where s/he likes to be.

Aries mums will be focusing on their own relationships this October, with partners being a major focus. For single Aries mums, the New Moon on the 5th is a good time to start a new relationship. The Full Moon brings either a focus on you and the way you present yourself to the world.

Taurus  (20/4 – 21/5)

Routines will be important for your Taurus child during the month of October. Taurus children are big fans of the familiar, so be careful not to make any changes that are sudden if you can help it. Family pets may also be important to your little Taurus this month. The New Moon on the 5th is a great time to encourage your Taurus child to take responsibility for a pet (Taurus is generally quite a lazy sign, but if you can get your Taurus child into the habit of doing something, he or she will usually carry it out without any fuss)! The Full Moon on the 19th will see your little Taurus becoming a little withdrawn. Tears may be shed more easily, as sensitivity is highlighted under this Moon.

Taurus mums may need to watch their health during the first few weeks of October. Don’t overindulge! The New Moon on the 5th is a great time to start a fitness regime in time for summer. Taurus mums can use the energy of the Full Moon to connect with their higher self through meditation. Spend a few days in nature during the time of the Full Moon to bring about a sense of inner peace.

Gemini(21/5 – 20/6)

Your little Gemini’s focus will be on fun, fun, fun this October. He or she will love to try new activities, so introduce some new things this month. Gemini’s aren’t overly competitive as a rule, but during the month of October, you may see a side of your little Gemini that isn’t revealed often. Encourage your Gemini child to undertake craft activities – anything that he or she can make with their hands. For older children, it’s a great time to introduce creative story writing – launch this idea under the New Moon on the 5th for best results. The Full Moon on the 19th may see your little Gemini’s friendships highlighted. There could also be some sensitivity around any group activities at this time.

Children will be extra important to Gemini mums this October. Taking time to enjoy life is also a theme for Gemini mums. The Full Moon on the 19th October is a good time for Gemini mums to connect with their friends, as the Moon shines down on them at this time.

Cancer(20/6 – 22/7)

Home and family are always important to your little Cancer, but this month these areas will be a major focus. Being around those s/he loves will bring a strong sense of security. Your Cancer child is often a homebody, but during October this will be exceptionally true. Don’t expect him or her to be happy going out too often. The New Moon on the 5th is a great time to teach your little Cancer about helping out around the home. It’s also a great time to redecorate your Cancer child’s room. As usual, the Full Moon on the 19th will be an emotional time for your Cancer child. This month it may be a parent that is a trigger for an emotional outburst.

Cancer mums will also find that family comes first this month. Parents may also require more attention than usual. New living situations are best carried out under the New Moon on the 5th, while the Full Moon on the 19th will shed light on your career and life direction.

Leo(22/7 – 23/8)

Spending time out and about will be especially enjoyable for you Leo child this month. Sibling relationships will be prominent. The New Moon on the 5th October is a great time to introduce key learning concepts, which your little Leo will soak up. Reading books together and exploring internet sites will be fun for mums and their Leo kids. The Full Moon on the 19th October will highlight your Leo child’s belief systems. It may also bring to light an interest in other cultures and places.

Leo mums will find communication highlighted this month. Being more involved in the local community is also likely. Issues with neighbours are possible during October. If you haven’t been in touch with your siblings lately, give them a call (as chances you’ll be thinking about them). The Full Moon on the 19th brings with it the potential for legal issues to be highlighted in some way. Alternatively, the way to a new path of learning may open up under this Moon.

Virgo(23/8 – 23/9)

Self worth issues may arise for your little Virgo this month, so make sure you give him/her lots of attention. Let your Virgo child know that s/he is loved for who s/he is not for what s/he does. Mercury, ruler of Virgo, goes retrograde in the secretive sign of Scorpio on the 20th, so expect your little Virgo to keep a few things quiet as the month draws to a close! The Full Moon on the 19th October highlights secrets and mysteries, so this theme remains strong.

Virgo mums may find that how they earn their money is a prominent area of their life this October. This month is also a good time to work on self-esteem issues – start positive affirmations under the New Moon on the 5th for best results. The Full Moon may bring joint assets into the light for investigation and reassessing.

Libra(23/9 – 23/10)

October is birthday month for most little Librans. Vitality should be running high during the first three weeks of the month. Your Libran will revel in being the centre of attention with friends and family – there’s nothing a Libran likes better than to be with other people! Towards the end of the month, things may get a little quiet, with your Libran child preferring things to be a little more low-key. The Full Moon on the 19th also highlights close friendships.

Libran mums will also be enjoying good health this month. Enjoy socializing with friends. Goods times abound during the first few weeks of the month. The Full Moon on the 19th may see the ending of a close relationship or the close examination of one.

Scorpio(23/10 – 22/11)

Your little Scorpio has a tendency to keep things close to his or her chest. During the first few weeks of October, s/he may feel a greater need to withdraw and spend some time alone. Take him/her for walks by water, as this will soothe your little Scorpio. Bedtime meditations will be enjoyed. By the end of the month your Scorpio child will be ready to take his/her place in the spotlight. The Full Moon on the 19th October highlights your little Scorpio’s health. Take extra care of your Scorpio child during this time, as s/he will be extra sensitive to external stimuli for a few days.

Scorpio mums may also find that they have a strong need to retreat during the first few weeks of the month. Take some time out to reconnect. With Mercury going retrograde in your sign on the 20th October, you have the potential to explore your own shadow side. The Full Moon on the 19th puts your health under the spotlight.

Sagittarius(22/11 – 21/12)

Your Sagittarian child will really enjoy being with his/her friends this month. Play dates and outings will be thoroughly enjoyed. Your little Sagittarian will also enjoy group activities. Encourage your little Sagittarian to talk about his/her dreams. The planet Venus moves into Sagittarius on the 8th October, which again highlights friendships and good times.  The Full Moon on the 19th October highlights fun and creativity. This month is pure fun, fun, fun!

Sagittarian mums will find October a socially busy month. Enjoy catching up with friends and taking part in group activities. The new Moon on the 5th October is a great time to take steps to achieve your wishes, hopes and dreams. The Full Moon on the 19th will highlight your children in some way.

Capricorn(21/12 – 21/1)

Parents will be particularly important to your little Capricorn during the month of October. What others think of him or her may also be an issue this month. Help older Capricorn children set goals during the time of the New Moon on 5th October. The Full Moon on the 19th October highlights home and family. Your little Capricorn will probably want to stick close to home for these few days.

Capricorn mums will find the New Moon on the 5th October a great time to start a new career or to launch a business idea. The Full Moon on the 19th highlights your own home and family. It’s a great time to bring all the relatives together to connect.

Aquarius(21/1 – 19/2)

Religion and different cultures will be highlighted for your little Aquarian this month. Encourage your little Aquarian to talk about what s/he believes in during October. The New Moon on the 5th October is a great time to introduce spiritual or religious information to your little Aquarian. It’s also a great time to introduce the concept of rules. The Full Moon on the 19th October highlights all forms of communication. Sibling relationships may also become a focus.

The travel bug may hit Aquarius mums this month. Plan an overseas trip or look at starting a course to expand your mind. Your beliefs may be challenged at sometime throughout the month. The Full Moon on the 19th October highlights issues to do with siblings, neighbours and your local community.

Pisces(19/2 – 20/3)

Your little Pisces may be quite curious about the hidden side of life this month. Be prepared for some interesting questions. S/he might be more emotionally intense than usual. Sharing may also be an issue that is raised during the month of October. The New Moon on the 5th October can be helpful to start teaching the importance of sharing. The Full Moon on the 19th October highlights self-esteem issues. Be on the look out for some fragile feelings during these few days.

Pisces mums will also be feeling quite intense this month and may find it themselves bottling their emotions up, something Pisces mums don’t usually do. The Full Moon on the 19th October highlights how you earn your money. Your own feelings of self-worth may also come to the fore.
