Being fit and healthy is something that everyone wishes for, yet not everybody is willing to do something about it. Lack of motivation accompanied with the perception of work out as a painful agony are the main reasons that keep people out of the gym. People’s observation on work out as torture comes from sheer ignorance or unforgivable laziness, while the motivation issue can be a little tricky. However, there are ways to fire up your motivation and to adjust your attitude in ways that working out can end up being so much fun.

Making a habit

Each habit of ours, good or bad, is a result of consistent and perpetual doing, without thinking about it. Creating a habit means simply start doing something and repeating it until it becomes an integral part of our daily routine. Although it may seem hard at the beginning, it will become an effortless daily action. To make sure you don’t give up too soon, choose 30 days challenge, the form of exercising that will take the ridiculously small amount of time, just for the sake of making a habit. The moment you finish the challenge, you will be a dedicated exerciser.

Work out buddies

Since we all have friends who work out, consider joining them in the gym. It is most likely that your friends will welcome and encourage your new activity and the work out alone will be just another form of socializing. Not only that exercising will be fun, but it will be stimulating to keep up with your friends. When your motivation dries up, work out buddy will be there to give you a friendly push.

Playtime

Workout routine doesn’t have to be always the same. On the contrary, it is much better to change your routine from time to time to avoid monotonously rigid work out plan. Be playful and change your routine every once in a while. In addition to that, you can try the mild increasing of workout intensity. With constant changes, you will avoid being bored while the results will be obvious.

Like what you do

It is a common misconception that workout is about running and repeating exercises in series. Working out can include much more, while it can become enjoyable mind-expanding experience, especially if it turns out you appreciate yoga or some martial arts. Dancing is also quite demanding activity while it can perfectly shape your body, assuming you don’t take the waltz class. The point is to find out what makes you feel good while you’re doing it.

Find the balance

Finding the right balance means not pushing yourself too hard while still managing to make it a challenge. Do not work out too hard for you will end up sore for days. On the other hand, working out too mildly (unless you are sore) is a complete waste of time. Organize your work out sessions so that you don’t get over exhausted, but keep in mind the progress.

New sportswear

There is no better motivation than to look at yourself in your new work out clothes. Invest in sportswear that will look good and feel comfortable. You may want to look for some shapewear that will help you look even better while you work out. Work on motivation

Be happy with where you are but visualize where you want to be and how good you will look if you continue to work your way. Reward yourself

A big meal of greasy junk food is not a proper reward for a weight loss, but hey, occasional treat won’t do big damage if you manage to burn calories in your next work out session. Mere look in the mirror will be rewarding enough and to take it to the next level, buy a pair of jeans that still don’t look good on you, but in a few weeks or months sure will. Establish a suitable rewarding system that will work for you and stick to it.

Motivation is a small wheel and once turned, it can make gigantic mechanism start to work. Grease up your wheel, roll it and look for the great outcome. And do not forget to have fun meanwhile since it is all much easier than it seems.
