Australia has a serious obesity endemic and among the worst affected are children who face life long consequences if the issue isn’t resolved. One of the biggest hypocrisies at a school level is the source of fundraising efforts. The largest means to raising much needed money for schools and clubs throughout Australia still lies with selling chocolates and sweet treats. If we’re to have any hope in tackling this growing issue, something needs to change.
