One of the simplest reasons to treat yourself to a post-workout massage is the proven impact that many types of massage therapy can have when it comes to relieving pain and soreness. Even if you’ve only just walked out of the gym and are feeling great, bear in mind that working out often causes delayed-onset muscle soreness, so there’s a high chance you’ll be feeling a little bit worse for wear the next morning. A deep-tissue massage can help to relax and loosen your muscles after working out, aiding with the healing process, and often making all the difference between a few hours or a few days of recovery.

Muscle tension can be caused by a range of different reasons, including physical stress, mental stress, a bad posture, and even working out a lot. Whatever is causing muscle tension for you, the main thing that everybody can agree on is that too much constant muscle tension is never good for you.
