5 Styles That Should Not Make Their Way Into 2017:

Time to let these styles go this new year!

Trends to let go of in 2017 cover

With the new year approaching once again, we are all consumed by thoughts of how we can change for a better new year. However, one thing that doesn’t change as the year rolls over is the blistering heat of the summer sun. Heading down to the beach in summer is always tonnes of fun, until you realize you haven’t updated your bathing suit from god knows how long ago, but with crowds of people flocking to every shopping centre around to bathe in the air conditioning, it can be hard to find time to go get yourself an up to date, in season, swimsuit.

Thankfully, you can get swimsuits from FELLA Online to save you all that hassle.

While you’re looking up the best new summer swimsuit and fashion styles for this season and reflecting back at the crazy roller coaster of a year that was 2016, here is a list of styles we hope and pray don’t find their way into 2017.

Furry Nails

This trend which has recently taken the internet by storm shows women and men taking nail art to a whole new, creepy, level. Earlier this year models were sent down the runway sporting faux fur glued to their nails. The look is unappealing, unattractive and downright unpractical, imagine how many tiny hairs would fall into your food when you’re cooking or trying to eat!

Faux Freckles

At some point this year freckles became a huge statement for beauty gurus, even if they didn’t have them. Drawing on freckles became a style that caught on so quickly a company actually made stick on freckles. It works like temporary tattoos, using water to transfer the design onto your skin, however some ideas don’t transfer well to reality and this can leave you with freckles you can tell are fake with the adhesive used to keep the freckles together sometimes showing up on your skin too.

Over-lining lips

At some point this year lips became a big focus point for the face, maybe we can blame all the amazing lipstick products that have graced the shelves this year. Over lining lips can be very hit and miss, on good days you end up looking like you have fuller lips, but on other days you can definitely see the line where your lips have ended, but the makeup has continued.

100 layers

What started out as a funny YouTube challenge has just taken things way too far with people putting on 100 coats of makeup, nail polish, and clothes. As many jokes often do thanks to the internet this one became really old, really fast, surely 100 layers of makeup could not be good for your skin!

Diets

One thing that will never change is how popular diets are.

This year has seen many diets becoming quite popular, but is it really for the best? Now more than ever there have been more paleo diets, gluten free diets, and vegan diets. Whilst it’s good to make a positive change to your lifestyle, diets need to be researched and understood before taking them on. Never take up a diet just to follow a certain style. Make sure you understand why you’re making the change and that it’s keeping you healthy.

Each year more and more crazy trends pop up, but everybody has their own opinions. If you love any of these styles mentioned above, by all means keep rocking them! It’s your life and you live it how you want to! But looking back on all the crazy styles of the years past is always a great laugh.
