This is so very tragic and my heart goes out to this family. My family knew of 7 youth suicides in our network last year. My teenagers new straight away via facebook.
Journalists have protocols to follow when reporting suicides but FB does not. Cyberbullying is a shocking downside to technology. The other downside is the instant notoriety after a youth has suicided. We need research into the link between youth suicide and the FB bubble many teenagers reside in.
